Prescott National Forest: This national forest covers two mountain ranges with elevations up to 8,000 feet. Consisting of more than a million acres offering hunting, fishing picnicking, hiking, bicycling and camping.
City of Prescott: This close by city has many cultural activities of interest to visitors in the area. Many art galleries, community concerts associations along with four museums are available to visitors. At an elevation of over 5,000 feet and with a population of approximately 30,000.
Sharlot Hall Museum: On the grounds of the original Governors Mansion it contains several buildings with exhibits on Arizona’s History. Also see the exhibit at Orchard RV Resort . The museum sponsors the Annual Folk Art Fair in June, the Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering in August and a Folk Music Festival in October.
Whiskey Row: Named because of the many saloons which once lined Montezuma Street. It now contains a variety of shops and art galleries in historical buildings.
