SMOKI Exhibit

The Smoki Museum added a special new exhibit showing 18 gouache renderings of sand paintings given by Jeff King, a Navajo medicine man. The sand paintings describe the Navajo creation story and were used in a ceremony for departing warriors. They were initially displayed at the National Gallery of Art in 1943.
Royal Carnival in Downtown Prescott

September 29th, the Royal Carnival will take over downtown Prescott Valley. There will be vendors, train rides, pony rides, face painting, entertainers, food, and lots more outside Tim’s Toyota Center.
